Inclusive healing through Eastern wisdom and Western expertise

Dr. Brianna Darcey, DAIM, LAc, RN
With over 15 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), I combine Western expertise and Eastern medicine to offer acupuncture, herbal care, and hands-on bodywork. My Oakland-based practice welcomes clients from across the East Bay seeking thoughtful, individualized care for stress, pain, burnout, hormonal shifts, digestion, and more. Many people come simply to feel better in their bodies—more balanced, less overwhelmed, and more connected to themselves.
Years in the hospital showed me both the power and the limits of Western medicine. It’s essential—but often rushed, with little space for nuance or time. East Asian Medicine helps bridge that gap. We’ll take a full 90 minutes to start—something that’s hard to come by in most healthcare settings.

While I treat a wide range of conditions, I specialize in acupuncture for fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum care. I spent 10 years as a Labor & Delivery nurse—most recently at UCSF—where I had the privilege of delivering hundreds of babies and supporting families through birth and postpartum recovery. I bring that same clinical skill, grounded presence, and deep respect for the body’s wisdom into my East Asian medicine practice, offering care that’s both intuitive and evidence-informed.

Clients often describe my bedside manner as confident, maternal, and laid-back. I see one patient per hour so I can provide hands-on, deeply personalized treatments. While I specialize in maternal care, my dual training as an RN and licensed acupuncturist makes me uniquely equipped to address a broad spectrum of health concerns. Whether you're in Oakland or anywhere in the East Bay, I invite you to experience the restorative power of acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
“What captivates me most about acupuncture is its model of care, one that fosters meaningful connections and allows ample time to truly understand and support each patient on their healing journey.”-Brianna Darcey
